Re: Like New 82 (Desertdawg)
Originally a Tulsa, Ok car...made the deal to buy from the original owner, but he sold it to his buddy at work(long story)...His buddy trailered it to Tucson to his second home...six months later, faced with a possible layoff he called the original owner who arranged for me to buy the car at the original asking price...WHEW!!!! Told you, it's a long and complicated story...best part is "now I have the car". And by the way Thanks to all for your comments.

would it be possible that you take large shots of both sides of the engine bay? I'd like to use it on the crossfire pages, there aren't that many low mile non molested cars around with the engine bay completely intact.

I bought my '82 this week in '00 with just 11,137 miles from the lady across the street from me; she'd lived there 6+ (?) years, but I'd never seen this car, until she was washing it one day...
I asked jokingly "if you'll wash my Z28 next?", when she said it was hers, but was selling it (no time to enjoy it), asking if I knew someone who'd be interested in it...
After walking around the car twice, popping my head into the cockpit once, and checking 18 years of fuel & maintainence-records, I said, " Yeah, I'll take it!!!
A week later, I backed it out of her garage, across the street, down my driveway, and pulled it into my garage, the FIRST time I ever drove the car!!!

The lady across the street from me was a bit of a recluse, we rarely saw her at all. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago and when family was over and the garage door opened up, there was a pristine 72 Cutlass Supreme in there. Turns out the car only had 22,000 miles, Butternut with tan interior, ralleys, buckets and console etc.
We've lived here for 17 years, it's amazing what can be right under your nose without knowing it.
Her POS son winded up with the car, he thinks he's sitting on some sort of goldmine!
