Tire Paint-Making raised black letters white?
Have any of you guys used any of the paint markers for tires? I am wondering how well they hold up and how long the white stays on the tire. I have been contemplating getting a set of Firestone "Indy 500" tires and I am thinking of making the "Firestone" logo, which is slightly raised black on the tire, white if possible. I think that would make the tire look a little more classy....or maybe I should just get a set of BFG T/As like everyone else.

My brother in law uses paint pens to paint his raised letters red. He says they hold up really well. He refreshes them once a year or if he scapes a curb.

JC Whitney sells the pens. What I have seen from others is that they have to be refreshed annually and cannot take hard scrubbing from a brush.

Thanks for the replies. I will give this one some more thought I guess. Sure wish I had a better selection in 15 inch RWL tires.

Leave the TA's alone if you can. There are a lot better tyres out there. You can still get Yokie 352 in 235/60/15 and 245/60/15 but they are hard to find. :yesnod: :yesnod:
