popping in exhaust???
what causes a popping in the exhaust, left side is doing this at idle? any ideas will be appreciated.

unburned fuel vapor can after-fire when idling or when letting off the throttle if the idle is too rich. check for leaky nozzles or incorrect mixture adjustment.

another cause could also be a problem with the AIR system although im not sure what exactly could go wrong with it as i have mine off the car :rolleyes:

I had popping at idle last summer. I replaced my ignition module with a new one and upgraded my coil with a flamethrower. The popping was reduced but not completely eliminated.
This past winter I replaced my intake and cam. I also rebuilt my Quadrajet. I have no popping at all now. Perhaps I fixed it when I adjusted my valves after the cam swap, perhaps it was a carb problem... Just some ideas for ya. :cheers:
