Default Fuzzy dice in a '79, cool or ghey.

Okay - I need a "fashion" opinion here. I know fuzzy dice were a big part of "the look" of 50's hot rods, and I've seen them hanging from the rear view mirrors of muscle cars manufactured up through the early '70s, still looking cool. I like 'em, but I can't decide if they would look appropriate in a later car such as a '79 Vette.

If so, will the general 3" fuzzy dice cause visibility issues due to the size of the C3 Vette's windshield and the short dash top. If that's the case, how about 2" dice? So, let me know what you think.

I have a set for my '72 that I put up for shows only. That's because I don't like things in my field of vision while driving. If you want them, put them in, if other people's comments bother you take them back out, you still OWN A CORVETTE.

I can't picture them looking "appropriate" in something like a C4, C5 or C6, but they cool in C2s, chrome C3s and great in C1s. For some reason I can't decide if the look "works" in the rubber bumper C3s. Is a '79 past that era to look "correct" with dice. Guess that's what I'm trying to figure out.

Mine hang from above my work bench in the garage. Just never got up enough nerve to actually put them in the vette. :)

Paul, he's trying to be "polite," but you have the general idea.

Where I grew up, it was neither cool nor gay, but in the late-70's fuzzy dice were popular among second-generation immigrants from a certain boot-shaped country in southern Europe. (They tended to favor Firebirds with the "screaming chicken" on the hood, too.)

Don't ask me why but all this is true! :lolg:

I've been spending too much time in OT.

Appropriate or not in a vehicle of my era is what I'm trying to figure out.

You can imagine I'd weigh in on this subject...fuzzy dice are nothing more than a personal accessory...no different than aftermarket wheels or sound system...it doesn't matter what kind of car you have or what year...I think fuzzies are kinda goofy and fun...that's plenty enough reason for me...I had black and white fuzzies in my car within a month of buying it...some friends of mine gave me a pair of pink and black fuzzies as a joke...they've been hanging in my car ever since... :D

If you like them put them in...someone will always comment on whatever we do to our cars and that's fine...in the end it's my car, not theirs...

Hang 'em if you've got'em. I've got beads hanging from my rear view. My wife thinks they're ghey and my daughter thinks they're cool.

Fuzzy Dice,
Based on your moniker I would guess you are an expert on this subject. Where can I get a set about 4" with green background and black spots? This is a joke for my Wife: she hates them. But they are "cool" for cruise nights.

My girlfriend's son gave me some. They are the big ones and I know I'd get a ticket driving with them. I hang them in when I park it. Ultimately, it's your own choice and who cares what people think about what hangs in your vet. Let them hang what they want in their own.
