Default paddle shifting easy to add to a TH400

of course it does not work the same as a Formula 1 car, but the effect of precisely controlling shifts is the same. I don't think anyone with a TH400 gives a hoot, but if you do i briefly mentioned it in my article on governor recalibration(in the link in my profile)

So you could add a kickdown switch to the steering wheel for manual control, Thats a good idea

2 switches would be ideal.
1 would turn off the solenoid for a soft early upshift @ WOT (perhaps in a turn where a hard shift would kick out the rear),
#2 would keep the solenoid on even tho it is not WOT, like when you know you are about to pass, but you have not floored it yet.
I've also moved the kickdown switch to trigger at 1/2 throttle so i don't have to floor it to pass a ricer. they are not worth the gas, but i like it to pull in the right gear.
