I am finishing up my speaker install. It has a pair of 4x6's and one 12" sub. I wanted to be able to store my t tops in the back also so I made a box that suspended the sub off of the floor. Both t tops fit in fine but I am not able to open my storage compartments. I can post pictures if you want. Good luck. I will be watching for further ideas on how to improve my setup.

Here are some pics of my setup. I still need to upholster it and clean up the whole setup and then I will be finished. I also need to buy a quality sub. The one I have installed now is some no name unit from the 80's that came with the car. Enjoy.

problem is that he has the newer style rear end. I think your SOL, there is simply no room in our cars. I just put 2 10's in the back of my car and there is definetly no way I can fit my tops in the back. Whenever I don't want my tops I leave them at home, although that might not always be possible.

I have just about the same thing as CrossedFlags77, except that my corner boxes hold 10" subs, and stick out a quite a bit more, and don't look as good.
I fabricated my boxes with cardboard and styrofoam first, but that was after I had placed the t-tops in the rear storage. I removed the rear carpet, then basically put one on top of the other, with a cushion in between, and secured them with the factory tie down- just like I would if I were driving. Using a permanent marker, I drew some marks to reserve the bare minimum space to fit both tops. Within those boundaries, I fabricated my cardboard/ styrofoam model, from which came the plywood boxes. After the boxes were done, I decided on what size speaker I was going to put in them, 8", 10", or 12". I probably could've fit a set of 12" if they had a shallow mounting depth, but I went with some 10".
After I finally blew my alternator, ammeter gauge, and a couple fuses, I removed the 400 watt amplifier and speaker boxes. I have to beef up my electrical before I'll install them again.

Look at my Avitar....I'm still trying to figure out how to post larger pictures.

Short trips, I leave the tops and trailer home.

Longer trips, I use my fuche gullwing door bug trailer with hide away hitch
behind the number plate (folds down). Trailer has chrome wheels, carpeted
and lighted inside.....good for tops, luggage and extra gas!!!

Behind the seats I have my 2 JL Audio 15W6's, Xtant 1001 and two Kickers!
