Default why does my exhaust sound like this

you ever here that old dooley going down the road at full throttle and it souds like a machine gun....well that's how my vette's exhaust sounds over half - 3/4 throttle.

i am running a flux capacitor attached to a 383 with dart heads, dynomax headers, dualed out, no x pipe through two chamber flows oh yeah and 2.5+ inch pipes

It could be an exhaust leak from your headers. Does the sound appear at idle, or only upon acceleration? I have an exhaust leak from one of my headers and it only makes the noise when i accelerate. Mine sounds like a popping noise.

If your using synthetic muffler bushings with the flux capacitor, your going to sound like the 4th of July. No way around it. :p:

I would look for a header leak too, if not, think about adding an X or an H pipe.

The worst thing you could do is add dually's to your vette just to go with the sound. :nono:

it's not an exhaust leak...i'm wondering if it is cuz i have no crossover or i am too restrictive..or not restricing enough. it's not popping like a back fire. it just sounds like the exhaust on an old dooley truck with a 454 and glasspacks under full throttle.

Sound like your oscillating flyback rectifier is overheating creating a floating condition on you flux capacitor causing it to go into cmos latchup :D

You're all wrong. Ya gotta make sure the flux capacitor is connected with the correct polarity. If you got that backwards you're gonna get feedback through the main petcock and cause electrolisis which will eat away the inside of your mufflers. Better check it out, it may be too late already. Oh yeah, one more thing, you don't have this problem is you use chromed flux capacitors. :lolg: :lolg:

Dr. Emmett Brown: 1.21 gigawatts?! 1.21 gigawatts?! Great Scott!
Marty McFly: What the hell is a gigawatt?!
Dr. Emmett Brown: Great Scott!

Marty McFly: Doc, you don't just walk into a store and buy plutonium... did you rip that off?
Dr. Emmett Brown: Shhhhhh. Of course. From a group of Libyan nationalists. They wanted me to build them a bomb, so I took their plutonium and in turn, gave them a shiny bomb-casing filled with used pinball machine parts.

Marty McFly: Does it run on like regular unleaded gasoline?
Dr. Emmett Brown: Unfourtunately no. It requires something with a little more kick: Plutonium!

Just run straight headers...that'll fix it!
