Default AC Line Between Condenser 7 VIR

Can someone give me the P/N of the steel line and hose (for 1974 thru 1976) that runs from the condenser to the inlet on the VIR? If possible could someone send me a copy of the AIM page showing these also?
My 1973 AC system does not have a high pressure fitting, a low pressure on the back of the compressor and on top of the VIR only. In trying to get the AC system operating properly my AC "expert" said it would be "nice" to know what the high pressure reading is.

Default Re: AC Line Between Condenser 7 VIR (RMS73)

I'm looking at the factory parts book and they show the '73 hose (PN328276) as the only one available with a note to use that hose and then add the required fittings for later models. Those numbers are:

73-early 76 w/350 pn 346137 (A-6 compressor)
73 w/454 pn 340407
74 w/454 pn 340404

there are 2 notes:

1) "complete with hose and fittings"
2) "When using on 1973 models also order valve kit 358273. Refer to chev. tech bulletin 74-T-41 (aug. 9, 1974)

Hope this helps, but your best bet is to have it modified to your specs as these are probably obsolete numbers. I did this with mine as the entire system was missing. I bought a 2-hose manifold set used that had ruined hoses but the right fittings, then had my local A/C expert (Hal's auto air) TIG weld new factory style crimp fittings on and replace the hoses with "barrier" type for my conversion to R-134a.

I did a conversion on a '73 last year and just used the low side ports to evacuate and charge the system. My customer wanted it as stock looking as possible, so the only clue is the r134a fitting on the compressor. worked great, but I used all new (or rebuilt) components. Good luck.
