Default Fuel Line Question

The fuel line on my '81, that runs from the fuel pump to the carb, needs replacement. Would I have any problems if I used rubber fuel hose instead of a metal line? (The metal line looks difficult to install without removing the smog pump and some other components.)

Default Re: Fuel Line Question (Biker)

Rubber line on the pressure side of a fuel system is just a bad idea. Probably the #1 cause of older cars burning to the ground. Build a steel line and take the time to install it.
