Default I need some help with a starting problem

Hi All, I just recently purchased an "81", which had been sitting idle since 98. It was running fine motor wise. Just got the brakes togther, drove it for a day then the motor dies. What I have done prior to its untimely demise was, MSD super coil, rotor, cap, spark plugs. I am getting no spark. My Chiltons manual is almost useless, does not have much in the way of troubleshooting, or location of fusable links and fuses. Any ideas on what the most logical places to start checking for the problem might be? :banghead:

Thanks!

I would guess the ignition module or maybe something is wrong with the MSD coil. HTH

I have replaced the coil & cap witht he old unit,it still does not work. I have a module comming, should be here on Thursday. I hope that is it. The only other thing I can think of is the pick up coil. Any other thoughts? Or any thoughts on how to diagnose the problem?

Thanks!

Turns out it was the module. Replaced it with a new Accel unit, fired right up.

Thanks All! :hurray:
