Default Horn Quit Working... Proper Diagnosis?

Is there a tried and true diagnosis procedure to fix my 72's horn? It just died slowly and inspection is due soon. Thanks in advance!

Well, the first thing I would do is use a volt meter to determine wether or not you have 12v at the horn when the button is pressed. If you do, the horn is bad. If you don't, well then you should work your way backwards, with your next step being the horn relay, and then up to the contact/button assembly.
