Default 80-82 T-top external carrier

Seems like from time to time, I see people looking for these, so here you go. This one looks very cheap thus far.

What does that look like installed on a car?

Not for me though, I'll happily carry mine in the car when I get it on the road.

I always thought this was a neat option but there is NO WAY I'd drive my car with the tops strapped on back there!

I looked at an 80' before I bought my '82 that had the holes in the rear deck but no hardware...owner had no idea what the holes were for "a luggage rack or something"... I schooled him on it...he might be interested in these, thanks for passing the link along.

My thoughts exactly. I saw a vette with them on there at FunFest last year. I wouldn't think of keeping my tops back there heading down the road!

I am here to testify :smash: that you CAN drive down the road with them strapped down. They are very secure. I have a set and can clip along at 60 with no worries. Plus, it really opens up the vast expanse behind the seats for luggage! :lolg:

My car came with that option but I never use them. I think they would take away from the looks of the car. I just keep the things in their case and leave them in the basement. :yesnod:
