Where to find a shut off valve for heater hose-in line..
I want to place an in line shut off valve in my heater hose. Any ideas on where to find one, either 5/8 or 3/4 inch............Also need a 90 degree elbow fitting for the 5/8 heater hose that goes into the intake...

I bought it all at Autozone. If they don't have the valves or the 90 fitting, try a local hydraulics supplier.

For the 90 fitting, go anywhere that sells plumbing supplies, and buy a "street elbow", it works perfectly.

Has anybody used a valve that still allows the water to flow? Late 90s Ford Explorers and early 90s Jeep Cherokees (among others probably) use a valve that still has water flow through the hoses, but bypasses the flow to the heater core. Looks like it would work. Has anybody tried one like that?
