Custom Carpet W/No Cut-Out For Console?
Does anyone know of such an item? I've altered the shifter and parking brake and will not have the factory console. New carpets being sold are cut down the middle where they go under the console. I need it to be solid from the drivers side on over to the passenger side. Anyone? Anyone? :confused:

Sounds like your fixated on finding carpet made specifically for a corvette. If you throw out that idea you can go to any upholstery shop and find a wide range of carpet you can buy in rolls and cut yourself to fit. The moulded carpet sets are way overpriced and not very high quality IMO. I spent $200+
on mine and had to piece in several areas. Next time I'll know better.

You wont find it pre made. You'll have to order in bulk and install yourself. On the bright side...you can order top quality auto carpet. Check BMW...Mercedes...etc. Their carpet is QUALITY and will outlast ACC.

i made all my carpets myself
used the same material as the pre mades
went fairly easy looks great!

http://www.atrim.com/Page119.html I use this Superflex automotive carpet and was very impressed on how easy it was to fit. The upholstery shop recommended it an said the guys that build hot rods use it. I used 3M spray adhesive to stick it to the floor.

Thanks guys (and/or girls). I had thought about using a non make/model specific carpet, but was worried about it not fitting or looking good. I had heard before that unless the carpet was make/model specific molded, that any other carpet would bunch up, have folds and gathers in it that wouldn't look too hot. But if you folks say it will end up good, then I'm gonna take a leap of faith and try out another product.
