How are the 80-82 shafts different then earlir C-3? I often see notes that they are not interchangable.

I am not going to be much help here, but here is what I know. 80-82 uses a Dana rear end similar to the C4. The Dana is a little bit different width than the earlier rear ends thus needing slightly different length halfshafts.

Sorry, but I can't remember which is longer.
