what is the valve there in the right kick panel? is it for the AC to be on MAX, recirculting the air in cabin?

Every now and again, mine opens but normally it is closed. I've been trying to figure it out. It does not move when I go from MAX to regular. Seems like it opens after I have been in the vent mode for a while but even at that, it does not move right away when I move the controller.

I figure it is sticking (DUH!) but I'd like to know what positions to EXPECT it to be in before tackling it.

How do you remove it? Pull the whole kickpanel out? Looks like it.

Remove the door sill, remove the kcik panel and it comes right out. The rebuild parts are available. I rebuilt mine last year.

Does anybody buy repair or assembly manuals anymore, or is it just easier to ask a question and get a bunch of different answers? :nopity
