emblem ideas...
G'day people. I have a 1982 C3 that was repainted a few months ago, before I bought it. The holes are still in the front guards for the "crossfire injection" emblems, but the car no longer has a crossfire system fitted! I don't want to put the crossfire emblems back on but I want to fill/cover the holes with something suitable. Any ideas? :chevy

You could always try to get a set of Stingray emblems to fit. Not sure if they will completely cover the holes, but it's worth a try.
BTW, what did you do with your Crossfire emblems????
Also, what did you do with the crossfire setup (throttle bodies, manifold) you took off the motor???

Yeah, I thought about Stingray emblems but didn't know if they had the mounting posts or whether they were stuck on. I spose I could always cut the posts off and use double sideded tape of the posts didn't line up with the holes.
I still have the crossfire emblems though the passenger side item is broken. The guy I bought the car off had a naturally aspirated 400 fitted about 10 months ago and I'd assume that the crossfire manifolds etc... were binned somewhere - they certainly weren't in the box of spares I got with the car.

If you get the chance, ask him if he still has the stuff. should be able to get it cheap from him. And the emblems, let me know if you want to get rid of them.

Sorry mate, the guy I bought the car from left Saudi for good about 2 weeks ago, and I have no idea where he went! I'm sure though, that the manifolds and all associated bits would have been dumped somewhere. I still have the Crossfire emblems, but the passenger side item is in 2 pieces and they are both real scabby looking - they have had years of exposure to the Saudi sun and sand! I have decided to cover the holes with Stingray and crossed flag emblems!

Anyway, I thought a "crossfire" was nature's way of telling you that you are in the wrong place at the wrong time!! Palestinians, Iraqi's and Afghans probably know what I mean....
