Default Which shop/service manual?

Was wondering if I could get a recommendation on whether to get the GM Factory Service Manual, or the After Market Shop Manual. Lookin for completness and user friendly!!!

Thanks in advance

A copy of the GM Factory Chassis Service Manual is the only way to go.

I'd get the factory GM one first, and other ones later. You can never have too much documentation. The Assembly Manual is useful as well.

For my 76 I had to get a 74 GM Factory Chassis Service Manual and a 76 Supplement Manual. The 74 manual has 90% of what you need and the 76 supplement has the 76 differences from a 74.
Get a big laminated wiring diagram also. They are about $10.

Greg
