Stock L48 vs. the same model year (stock) of many other cars and you'll have the win.

It'll definately kick butt when it's on a go-kart!

They wont beat much, maybe ur average minivan, but they do have potential, the main reason they have no power, is that they cut down on smog and fuel economy by cutting down the wildness of the cam, so the cam has VERY little lift, also, i suggest that one of the first things you should do is get a new intake manifold and carb, some people say the Q-jet is a good carb, but i just got hell from mine, and performance wise its not that great. Im thinking of gettin my valve train rebuild as soon as i get some money, and i already have a performer rpm intake manifold, which saved me like 50lbs, topped off with a 650 cfm BG speed demon carb. And im actually able to peel the tires. So thats just my .02, so go out there and do something to wake up that old l-48, its worth it when ur blowin past hondas :D

recurve the distributor and install a shift kit if an automatic. See how it starts and then it never ends. :yesnod:

Just the look of that thing sitting at the line will get a nod from most in the crowd......then you take off at 20 miles per hour and cruise down the track
while you wave at everyone......that will beat most
