Default Complete exhaust suggestions.

Stock 350 on my 77 but first I want to put on a new exhaust and new headers. Looking for ideas (and part numbers) from the headers down to the muffler. Also where I can get them. I'm so lost  looking through website after website and not knowing whats good or what will fit etc.

Hooker Competition Headers 2456HKR

Get your headers ceramic coated. Yo ucan buy them coated from the factory or even better have them done by a place like Jet Hot, which is popular on this forum. I had mine coated by a local guy.

Remove the old exhaust and manifolds youself. Install the headers yourself as well, neither are terrible jobs. The rest of the exhaust I had done at a shop. I went with 3" to 2.5" reducers and 2.5" stainless steel dual exhaust all the way back. I had two high flow cats put on. At the end I put on Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/xl/xlperformance.htm

A nice touch you may want is stainless steel brackets/hangers, and of course shiny exhaust tips. Some guys like an 'H' pipe connecting the two sides too. If you do a search you'll find lots of discussion on this for sure.
