Gasoline prices on the rise again!
Monday morning gasoline prices for 87 octane were $ 1.75, Tuesday they went up to 1.85, this morning 2.01 for regular, 2.20 for 91 octane. Will it ever stop?

Until they start building some more refineries to produce the oil the high prices are here to stay.
Also we pay about .22cents per gal. in federal taxes. In LA. we also pay .20cents/gal in state taxes. :mad

It'll be $3/gal before you know it. Proven reserves run out in 2040. What will we do when the explosive Chinese market really starts increasing demand?!
New refining capacity is a temporary solution - we need to cut consumption. It's stupid policy to rely on imported crude.
p.s.: hit $2/gal for regular yesterday here in my part of Maine

"we need to cut consumption". Are you going to give up your 10 mpg vette? Not me.
Its time to look into more efficient methods of transportation.

Guys do not complain about gas prives!!! We are used here in Finland to a different level - normal price is around 1.2 Euros a litre that eguals close to 1.4 dollars a littre which is something like 5.4 dollars a US gallon.
My BB takes 25 litres/100km which is like 9.5 US MPG

Here's the car I was driving in the first gas crisis 30 yrs ago.
I cried big crocodile tears when gas went to $.38 gal for hi test. And that was when you could still get some without standing in line, odd and even days, fist fights at the pumps, no stations open after dark or on Sundays, red/green/orange flags and all the other BS that went along with rationing and before the supply stabilized and the prices doubled.
During those times I used to walk to work or take turns car pooling so i could have enough gas for the weekend.
Today , try keeping a tractor trailer or piece of heavy equipment moving all day on diesel fuel, thats what is really hurting your wallet, when the fuel price is passed along to the consumer.
As for gas........pay or park it. I'm just glad there is some to get!
