Thanks for the comments guys. I realy love this part of the car build up. After seeing motor build up pics from guys like bence, 1970 Stingray and other great examples posted here I couldn't wait to offer up a few of my own :yesnod: There is just nothing like the look of a motor going together on a stand to get the blood pumping. I hope to have some more pics by July when I should have the heads and intake installed. I am still shooting for the end of the year to fire it up :hurray:

Looking good BlackRat but how can you wait that long for heads and an intake??? It would be driving me up a wall looking at the short block just waiting for heads. :thumbs:

Went with the purple for several reasons.
1. Would stand out better in a black engine compartmeny. :yesnod:
2. Knowbody else has done it. :yesnod:
3. I like purple :D
4. No offense to anyone else but I hate Chevy orange :eek:

Norval, this is why once I finished the bottom end I wrapped it in a hefty bag and pushed it in the corner. The heads and the intake aren't in the budget till July :cry If I can't see it it makes it almost bareable to wait. :nonod:
