Side exhaust question
I've got sidepipes with the fiberglass covers on my 68. I'm getting rid of the rusted out headers that were attached to them and going back to a rams horn manifiold. The only place I can see that the side pipes are attached is at the back. Is there supposed to be another hanger forward or does the whole pipe hang from the manifold and the 1 rear hanger?

Re: Side exhaust question (Garys '68)
On an original side pipe installation, the muffler and exhaust pipe are one piece. They attach at the exhaust manifold and at the rear of the muffler.
There are no other hangers between these points.

Mine have hangars in both front and rear.

Shoulder belts were optional in 1967. I ordered mine from the company below and they did a fine job.

Re: Side exhaust question (HDFLH67)
Looks like the 67 S/S covered pipes had 2 hangers. The 68+ fiberglass covered pipes had only 1.
Thanks everyone.
