Default Anybody port and polish their own heads?

I am thinking about porting and polishing my el cheapo pro action torker heads.

Can it be done with a dremel tool or do you really need that air powered grinder?

Any thoughts on the subject?

I did a new set of WP S/R Torquers. I used a die grinder and the kit that summit sells. Takes some time and you have to be careful not to grind into a water jacket and wreck the heads but it's some thing you can do.

I used a Sears electric grinder with a teardrop shaped carbide bit. Finished up with sandpaper rolls from Eastwood. It's time consuming but fun.

So it is possible.

Is there a book with pictures and stuff on the subject?

Just becareful and not to get close to the valve seat. If you do, you'll be off to the machine shop, just a heads up. :D

I did my roommates with an air grinder and finished up w/ sandpaper bit at the local hardware store.
