Power steering cylinder overhaul.
Who's rebuilt their Power steering cylinder then?
I've got the rebuild kit from Vette Brakes, and wasn't too worried about the lack of any instructions, because I thought it would tear down quite easily. However...
The circlip and lip seal that fit over the piston have come out with ease, but I'm not totally sure of the best way to pull out the other parts from underneath, ie the scraper ring and back up washer. If you were to pull on the piston hard enough, would this dislodge the remaining items? Or are they supposed to be picked out with a screwdriver or something?
To be fair, if it's too much of a job to get these parts out then I might just put in the new lip seal and the circlip and be done with. But I don't really like doing half a job...
Any pointers?
