Default tempature sending unit location

Where is the sending unit on the motor for a 69 350? Block, head, intake? Need help.

On the head between the #1 and #3 plugs. That's where it is on later models.....can't say for sure on the 69.

......from the wire bundle going to the alternater....there should be a single green wire going to the temp sender. It originally had heat insulation around it.

Correct answer.... Just beware that replacements (even GM) are not calibrated correctly and the gauge may read hotter than the engine really is.

Unless you buy from Lectric Limited - these are correct and calibrated so the gauge is accurate.
