What to look for in a 71?
Hello all,
I am going to look at a 71 corvette:hurray:. i talked to the guy on the phone and this is what he said. it has a 350-360 hp sb summit motor put in about 8 years ago and has around 20,000 miles on it, hooker headers i don't remember what he said but he said they were racing style. A Munich M close ratio 4 speed to limited slip diff. Exhaust was redone same time as motor and has spiral something mufflers. redone suspension with composite mono spring and 550 lbs. front coils. interior pretty much stock typical wear on seats.the paint was redone a few years ago and painted original red color. the paint look great from 10 feet(thats what he said). He wants 13K for it is that reasonable? i will see it tomorrow to see for my self. any suggestions on what to look for, are very welcome.

Besides all the usual things that would also apply to your 76, be sure to check that the wiper door works and the fiberoptics. The 71 really is almost identical to your 76 in other respects.
