(OT) Just got back from Virginia beach,...saw lots of vettes an women down there!
Looks like i'll be transfering onto Damnneck Naval Annex in a few months. Just got back from spending a week down there and vettes seemed very common. I must have seen three on the trip from the airport the first day alone on the drive to Va Beach. C4's were most common but i also peeped some c3's and c5s. So, since my chances of heading there are very good i have a couple questions about vette ownership in the VA.
First,.. is there a race track anywere near that area? Either for 1/4 mile racing or a road course. What do VA vette owners do when they wanna get there speed ON?
2nd.. were do you guys take your vettes to be worked on. I'm hoping to find a vette specific specialist as well as someone else who can do body work and take those cracks out of my fender. I prefer not to take my vette to a major chain autoshop becuase there dishonest so a reliable vette specific small hot rod shop is what i need.
third,.. parts! Were do you guys get your parts from. I'm sure you have more then two Chevy dealerships ( here in hawaii) do you use the dealerships, sdo you get them off the net or is there a hidden drove of hot rod shops i missed while wondering down Lynhaven road.
lastly.. There must be a corvette club in that area. What are they/you people like. Is the local club snooty or easy to get along with. Is it mostly rich and retired or broke and military ( those two catagories kind of describe the two vette clubs here in hawaii) Criuse night, NCRS types of just plain hot rodders whom prefer fiberglass and bar-b-ques? And they emissions thing, thats not a problem right. Anyway thanks in advance. This darn post has been sooo long i need a nap.

You might try posting this in the Southeast section of the forum.
You would think that someone from that area is on here at one time or another.

Re: (Eddie 70)
When you ask multipile questions in one thread that require precise answers from someone in a specific area the response rate may be low or none.
Better to ask questions of a general nature. Eddie above has a great tip for you.
Good luck and happy motoring to you military types. We all appreciate your service. :flag
