Default Setting lash with new lifters different than with old?

Hey all,

I'm in the midst of a cam (hydraulic) swap. I soaked the lifters in oil then installed them. When setting lash, does the method differ with new lifters than with lifters that have already been somewhat "pumped up" with use?

Thanks in advance...

disclaimer I posted a similar question in C4 Tech...No answer yet.

Nope. Same. "Pumped up" only lasts until they bleed back down in about a half second.

When you get to 0 lash and you give it the 1/2 of 3/4 extra turn I think you are only pre-loading a spring insde the lifter so it has nothing to do with the oil, so the same proceedure is used :D
