"Shorty" Headers on a BBC
In an effort to gain more ground clearance, when I build my exhaust, I was considering the shorty style (also seen block hugger which would accomplish the same. I've been told that if going with headers this short, I might as well run the original exhaust manifolds, as the benifit of the headers is lost.
So does anyone have them on a BBC?
Do you feel it helps with ground clearance?
Any thruth to the above statement regarding shorty headers vs. exhaust manifold?

Re: "Shorty" Headers on a BBC (75 BBC Stingray)
Shorty headers are not the way to go for an hp car. Your ground clearance will usually be the oil pan as the lowest point on the car.2 1/8 headers are your best bet.
