Default Driver's Door droops on my 73

When I open the door, it drops about 1/2 an inch...if I don't closed it all the way, it droops. Of course, when I slam it shut the striker bolt re-aligns everything....I am assuming it is a hinge problem. any ideas??? thanks :seeya :seeya

You need to replace the pins and bushings in each hinge. Change the door springs too, while you're at it. Worked wonders in my car. You don't need a special tool for the springs if you cut the old ones in half with a dremel. They fall right out.

I had that problem on both doors. They did not line up with the rear fender panels. Had them repaired during the painting process. Perfect now, but do not have a clue how they fixed it. :skep:

They do have the bushings at help section at Advance or Autozone can't remember where I got mine. Take you old ones with you to get the right size there is a few differnt ones they sell. You have to take off the door & hinges. access bolts are behind door panel & kick panel. Have someone help you when you go to put the door back on or you make take out a a few paint chips very easily. I cut the wires for the power windows & respliced them I think.
