Default Pitman arm?

How far onto the steering gear shaft should the Pitman arm go? I can only get it about half way on. :smash:

I just looked at my gearbox since it's sitting in my garage (I'm installing my Steeroids kit this weekend) the gap I have between the pitman arm and the gearbox itself is about enough to fit a quarter in. I would try greasing the gearbox shaft and the splines on the pitman arm, make sure it's all free of rust as well. Then just grab yourself a good, well oiled 1/2" impact, and go to town. Good luck buddy!

The Pitman arm does not go all the way onto the splines. Torque the nut to the spec and you won't have any problem with the Pitman arm coming off.
