WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS PART ? 1981 CORVETTE
Can anyone please help me My tach, voltmeter, went out and battery light and choke light came on. There is a tah capacitor that has power only on one side, the capacitor is connected to a part with 4 other wires and 4 vacuum lines attached and what looks like a small coil . Can anyone please help :chevy

Check your fuses. I had a similiar situation and it was only a fuse blew. Are you sure it'd be that capacitor? It acts like an open until charged, so it kinda depends on how you test it.

Welcom to the forum, nice to see another member from Alabama on. Need more details as to what part you are talking about, where is it located...engine compartment, interior? A picture would really help. I don't recall seeing anything like what you have described so far...more info needed. :seeya

I think the capacitor looking thing you are talking about it your tach filter. It's not a capacitor at all. The other two things with wires and vacuum lines on are the EGR selenoid and the air switching selenoid I believe. Seems to me if your tach filter goes your tach should not work, everything else should operate as normal.
