Does anyone have pics of an 80-82 fiberglass rear molded into the body?
I am considering replacing my poly rear with fiber and would like to see some pics of the rear molded into the rest of the body. If no one posts pics, I guess I'll have to just go ahead and do it and post pics of my own!!!
Thanks, Les

I've often thought about that too, but since the body is fiberglass, I wouldn't want the molded in part to crack due to body stress... It'd look sweet though...

I glued and bolted my 80 rear bumper on with no problems. I would use a true-flex if I had to do it over. I did have to cut and trim to get the fit I wanted.

Hey AGVI, there you go again, doing to your vette what I want to do to mine. :D Before my next body job, which will probably be in 2 or 3 years, I plan on going with the glassed in daytona front bumper and a glassed in rear bumper. I don't have any pics, so why don't you just go ahead and do it and then send me a pic to keep me motivated while I wait.

That looks nice...
As for my front end, I'll try and get some new pics to post. I didn't do it myself, so I can't really give anybody any tips on how it's done properly.
I wouldn't worry about the body flexing and the seams showing. I would just have that area redone every few years and blended into the rest of the paint.
I hope to install a glass rear in two years. Next year is the engine install or rebuild....this year was the tranny rebuild.
Now that I've gone completely off topic.....We need more pics!!!
Anyone? :D
