Default New car or more money in to old car?

What do you guys think? I'll be graduating in a few years and since I'll be working summers and a little during the school year, I'll have some money to play with when I'm done with school. So the question is should I start saving my money to buy a good daily driver or use the money to bring the vette up to good working condition? I figure both options will cost about the same.

I'd buy a cheap reliable daily driver and leave the Vette as a weekend warrior. :D

I say fix the vette. Who wants to drive a crappy car when you can drive a Corvette for the same price. Use it or lose it. I don't believe in hiding a car in a garage waiting for sunny days. Cars are for driving and Vettes are for driving HARD.

Our Vettes, God love 'em, just are not practical as a daily driver - especially if you have a four speed. Limited storage space, poor mileage, poor visibility due to low seat and poor survivability in a crash.

Get yourself a V6 SUV and use the Vette for fun!
