Default Question for those with MAD TrueDual exhausts

Pic looks like there is an "H" crossover pipe between the duals right where they join to curve under the passenger side. Is this the case, or is it just a bracket ????

:iagree:

I just put the chambered exhaust on my '77 last month. No "H" or cross over pipes :nonod:

:iagree: :iagree:

The pipes run very close to each other as they bend toward the right side floorpan and under the pass seat, then back out as they near the rear end.
Installing an 'H' is on my "to do" list....

Do the MAD pipes work with the stock manifolds?

It's probably the bracket that you'll need that mounts with the trans mount. You need both pipes to be held up in position now, there's a bracket that will do both sides w/ a couple clamps. Look thru the exhaust posts, I got mine from a guy named Gordon,, Stage II system, I love it. They make the MidAmerica systems too supposedly.

For my 1980 with the mighty L48 the answer is yes.

I have an '81 and they bolt right onto the stock manifolds. It is a great system and can' recommend it highly enough

My '80 L48 has headers so I had to do a little modification ;) It really wasn't that big a deal though. H-pipe install is the next thing to come though

Wouldn't one of those prefab "X" pipes from Summit fit well on that long, straight section on the right (passenger) side ???
