Default How hard would it be to convert a '76 interior to a '77?

Ultimately I plan on replacing every single part of my interior. And when I look at Zip and Ebay etc. I invaribly find 2 things. First '77 interior parts are far more abundant and second they're significantly cheaper. So I'm thinking, if I replaced EVERY interior part, would it all fit together correctly? Did the birdcage and/or doors change as far as screw holes et. al. mounting points?

Anyone ever tried this?

(oh and to you NCRS people, the door is right over there  )

Interior is basically same 68-77. The main + of the 77 interior is the shorter steering column. One reason I bought a 77. Jim Shea has done an article on switching steering column.
Console is the other main difference. 77 got better carpet & door panels w/ black insets.
If I bought a 70-74, would change to 77+ st. column & 77 carpet & door panels w/ black insets.

Ahh cool, so the doors are the same (mounting wise)?

All the carpet sets I've seen go 68-77. Is there something specific I should look for in a carpet set?

What I'm more concerned with are all the moldings e.g. windshield pillar post & header, and the dash. Would those all fit & mount correctly?
