Carb advice needed !!
I have an Edelbrock performer 750 on my 454 and it just doesnt perform well. I would like to try changing to a better carb but am confused on Holleys vrs. BG carbs. My setup is as follows:
454 / 465HP
480 ft/lb torque,
comp cams 268H mild cam
rectangular port heads
GM Alum. Duel plane intake
MSD 6AL
MSD Tach drive dist.
Hooker super comp headers into 2.5" exhaust
4 speed M21 tranny
3:36 gears.
Thanks in advance

Re: Carb advice needed !! (conway62)
Have almost identical set up, but small port heads, and using a 850 double pumper holley, works great.
always buy new carbs is my motto, have used pleanty over the years but NEVER had trouble with new ones.
hope that helps.
