fibreglass side pipe covers

Re: fibreglass side pipe covers (jacobsed)
What do you think of the covers? Are they of good quality and original looking? Where did you get them?
I would love to have a set of the original chrome covers but it is hard to justify spending $2,000 on a set of sidepipe covers when I only paid $2,000 for the whole car when I bought it.

I bought mine from Zip. Not sure if the quality is the same or not but there were a lot of pinholes and defects that needed to be fixed before painting.
Here is a pic before painting. The pipes are hard to see, sorry the pic isn't bigger

I installed them on my 74. I had them painted a metalic silver with some flames (I'll get some pics to you this weekend) I'm very happy with them.

I saw the fiberglass covers on a Vette in a shop that I frequent and I thought they looked cheesy, especially after a few years of wear and tear. I would have liked the original metal covers, but the price scared me away. I couldn't justify the cost. So I stuck with rear exhaust.
