EGR Block Off Plate
Does anyone know of a vendor that sells EGR Block Off Plates for a 74 - 454? I checked the Archives and only found info for SB EGR Block Offs.

why not make your own? all you need is a little block of aluminium, a drill, a grinding disc and a belt sander (at least). I made my own too, very easily done.

Re: EGR Block Off Plate (Corey_68)
when we put a new carb on my 76 we just went to a local boat welder/mechanic, only thing open at the time, and he gave us a peice of 3/4 inch think aluminium and some high heat gasket
we took the old EGR valuve/assembly and went down to the basment and made one form a hack saw, drill, and grinding wheel in a few minuites
Havent had any problems with it yet

Re: EGR Block Off Plate (pillowmeto)
:iagree: Had to get rid of the EGR valve to clear the carb, so just took some aluminum plate, a cut off wheel, or even some heavy duty wire clippers and made my own.

GM parts direct #6269414 for $5. They are made of steel (used on ZZ motors intakes) and you may want to follow the others suggestions and make your own. This steel plate would make a good template. :yesnod:
GMpartsdirect.com is on the side-bar on the left as they are a supporting vendor . But my guess is Summit or Scroggin Dickey will carry these also. :seeya

Any performance or race shop should carry something like that fairly cheap. I got one for my 80 at Ramchargers  http://www.ramchargers.com
