Glad to hear you finally got it going. Good cool AC in one hot car.

I have been giving thought to adding one of the aftermarket AC systems to mine. Black is gonna be one hot son-of-a-gun this summer.

A/C work is not fun. Cold air on a warm day though is joyous.

Oh, does that hit home!

Last month I replaced the compressor, hoses, POA valve, and evaporator all with new stuff. NEW stuff. Resealed the evap box with seals from Willcox.

first really hot day for a drive was Sunday. I was amazed  at how cool I was on a 100 degree day!! WhooHOOOO! Then came the PSSSSSSSST phssssssssssssssssssssssssssssrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrr of something blowing pressure.

Blew my new evaporator from Ecklers. The hardest damn thing to change out of all the crapola I changed :smash: :mad

Hey Paul, I just went through that contortionist effort to install that POA just a few weeks ago. Still have 3 screws that hold the braket onto the box to go in. But how, scews are hidden behind POA now? I'm thinking I could make a rope wench from my header tubes around the POA and pull it up tight? I really don't want to remove all lines off that POA again. :cuss You know any tricks for the bracket scews? Or should I have screwed on the bracket first, then installed POA before connecting lines? :cuss

Pull the fender liner out.

I left it R12 because I like the coldness. I'm wierd but I think the cool sensation with R12 is better than 134A

My daily driver is a new Monte Carlo and I swear the A/C in an old car feels better than the A/C in the Monte. Until of course, you hear a PSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssrrrrrrrrrfffffff fffffftttt !!!!

:cuss :nono: :nonod:
