Default Who makes these wheels?

Anyone know who makes the wheels on the "mysterious" 1982 Sharkee Corvette Road Racer featured as the April car in the 2004 Ron Kimball Corvette Calendar

(best pic I could find from a previous thread)

They kind of look like a model 028 from Eagle wheels, but in 17" or 18". (check 'em out at summit)
Never seen them in anything other than 15's though.

Yea, the rims in the pic look much larger than 15". They also have a C4 cross flags logo on the lug nut covers.

I know the guy who owns "Sharkee" those wheels are no longer on the car. I'll check and see if he wants to sell them for you at the next autocross. You should be aware the car has had massive amounts of work done to the body in stretching and re-flaring the fenders to allow those wheels to fit. I believe they are around 17X9 or 10 front and 17X11 or 12" wide in back.

WOW  Well, that may not work for me then. I want bigger wheels but I don't want to get into body work to accommodate them.

This all stems from a ride in a C5 over the weekend, and experiencing it's awesome handling. I'm "dreaming" about going with a seriously improved suspension and rack & pinion steering to help my '79 out in the handling dept. I don't want to go to all that effort and expense just to be held back by the tires. I know low profile tires mean better handling, but that means finding bigger rims I find attractive and will fit a C3, preferably without any kind of adapters or modification. Don't know if it's possible to find such rims and tires with an H or V speed rating that grip well too to fit on the rims, giving my '79 the ability to handle more like a C5 or even a C4.

I know, what am I smokin', right?

He changed those wheels ! They are really nice looking, I'm guessing they look better than they perform probably weigh a little too much with all that chrome plating ?

Those looks like they are Ronal wheels. I saw some on a Camaro once.

Here's my LT-1 with 16X8 TTII's with $85 a piece Kuhmo 255/55/16 V speed rated truck tires (not the stickiest things I have ever run but very prdictiable break away response and fun to 4 wheel drift on!) I think the size is "Just Right" like in Goldielocks!

Those wheels look similar to mine on my 80 L82 except for the center caps.
My wheels are made by Prime.I bought this ride with these wheels and can not find any info on them as of yet.I would show you a larger pic of it if I knew how to post a pic in here.
