Where to buy rear exhaust panel
I have forgotten the name of the company that sells the rear panel ,now that I have converted to side pipes. Who sells them and are there any places in Michigan?

I cannot think of the one you are probably thinking of. It belonged to guy who was killed by his son not long ago. I am sure someone else knows.
Anyway, I bought mine from Ecklers. For the 70-73 it is PN 10239 ($159.99).

When you order the panel, be sure and get the two small filler panels for the fenders on each side. The stock openings are half in the rear panel and half in the fender.
That's right for a '71, isn't it?

Corvette Image will have in in EXACT match molded fiberglass side pipe rear valence panel just like GM made when they were building the BEST Corvettes in St Louis! Do an internet search or by Corvette Trader at the local magazine shop for their number.

Re: Where to buy rear exhaust panel (NHvette)
I just converted my '70 to side exhaust. I also replaced the rear filler panel. Let me tell you, they all fit like crappola. I tried 4 different panels from the various distributors/manufactures. It's also quite amazing that these people don't know what they are selling, I received a panel for a 69 for original side exhaust (no ears) and a 69 for side exhaust conversion. I tried to verbally convey what I wanted, each time they told me they knew exactly what I wanted. Also, none of the hand laid pieces fit very good (they are all hand laid), especially around the licence plate bezel.
I finally got one to work with a great deal of fitting time from Ecklers. Thankfully the bumpers hide alot of the problems.

I agree with the above. You probably need to set aside a full day. :)
