Who sells a full line of set screws??
I'm modifying a Q-Jet to my own liking and I tapped a couple of holes to 12-24 so I can plug 'em. But now I need 12-24 set screws. McMaster doesn't list 'em. Anybody have a source?
Am I gonna have to make my own?

Yes... I looked in cat #395.... no go. I'm going to a local industrial fastener supply house today.... if they don't have them, I'll get some machine screws and make my own set screws. 12-24 is an odd size.
Thanks

Checked in J&L Industrial Supply,MSC Industrial and Richards Machine and Cutting Tools catalogs and nothing listed under this size.looks like you will be making your own.

Tom,
Since you were kind enough to help me with my computer posting question yesterday maybe I can return the favor.
The Nutty company here in CT lists 12-24 set screws, check http://www.thenuttycompany.com hopefully they'll have the ones you need.

Thanks all...
I went to a local supply house (Wilders) yesterday and bought a couple of SS (18-8) machine screws and machined my own set screws out of them. I wanted stainless because I might have to remove them after my test. They're in a Q-JET M4MED to block the idle air bleed passages that go from below the throttle discs up to a slot just below the choke butterfly. The passages are "optional" depending on application and I think my application will work better without them.
Wilders had plain steel set screws, but I wanted to use SS to avoid corrosion and binding issues in case the test is a flop and I have to remove them.
Thanks again.
