Default Custom exhaust for the LS1. Where should I dump?

I'm making a custom exhaust for my LS1 install and want some opinions. My friend did an exhaust system on a '77 and dumped out the side in front of the rear tires. Not so good for ground clearance, but it looked pretty cool. How do you think I should do my system? Right now I'm planning on doing Z06 manifolds to 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent tubes with Magnaflow mufflers. I'm getting the manifolds and mufflers really cheap!

Feel free to add other options that I haven't thought of. If you have pics, I'd love to see them too.

Thanks.

Can I see some exhaust pics? I've had sidepipes on the car so long that I don't remember what an undercar system is supposed to look like.

I originally dumped my exhaust like this:

I had to have a tubular crossmember built to clear the 3".
I have since turned it out the side and it comes just to the edge of the rocker
panel with a 45 degree back cut.

I like it.

I put mine out the back under the liscense plate. I think it looks cool and it sounds awsome. Stahl headers, dual 3" with Dr. Gas x-pipe and spin tech reverse flow mufflers.

I saw a guy with an early C3 (68-69ish_ that put them out the back like a C5... even had the center piece between the pipes... looked  Wish I had a pic to show ya! It looks a lot like the 72 here, but the plate was between the pipes

Nah, LS1s like some backpressure and a crossover pipe... Plus I couldn't make myself cut holes in the hood like that.
