i don't think he was downing Earnheardt...just cuz daddy's good doesn't mean sonny is...I think Jr's good, I don't know much about the brothers.

Kerry Earnhardt- Experienced, really nice, but not nearly aggressive enough as he needs to be to sustain in NWC ( its still winston cup to me)

i didn't see that part, but my old neighbors thought i was white trash because I had some loud black car in the garage that they saw me working on.. that loud black car is my vette.

Unbelievable post link. The comment about white trash was definitely uncalled for. They're all great drivers, regardless of their background or namesakes, and it's obvious that they don't know what it takes to drive in the bigger races let alone on a track at all. Otherwise everyone with a buck could drive at Talledaga

Over in OT it's all about getting a post "good" enough to P.ss Off a lot of people. Looks like he/she/it was successful.
If you can't stand the heat over in OT don't go there. IMHO most of them need lessons in accepted social behavior.

I'm not an Earhardt fan. Never was.
When Dale Sr was driving, I didn't much care for him. I liked Tim Richmond, who REALLY got rotten treatment from NASCRAP and his fellow drivers.

I don't like to post negative comments but how many people really care about the multi-millionare Earnhardt family ? They will continue to roll in money as long as NASCAR fans support them. Who cares.....? I wish I had their problems..."what private jet should I buy....does the public love me " ? NASCAR is boring !!! Two hours of left turns.

Ever hear of Formula 1 driving....check it out sometime. 200 mph to 70 mph in 3 seconds...then back to 200 in a few more seconds. Cars that have engines that cost multi-millions of $. Hundreds of shifts every lap, dozens of turns. These guys drive the cars...not just aim them. NASCAR is popular now....I think it is low class and boring. The funny thing is they refer to themselves as "athletetes"...like golfers do. I know I have opened up a can of worms now !!!!!!!

As for driving the cars, some do..some to a lesser extent. Stuff like auomatic shifting (now outlawed), traction control...and so on all takes away from driver skills. In the past you'd see the real talented drivers get to the front with a lesser car in the rain, nowadays they all can run pretty strong in the rain.
As for the athletes comment. How long do you figure you would last in a race car, totally focussed, concentration at 110% and temperatures that would be more suited to a steam cabin? I used to drive go karts and even those things wear you out. After a lap or 20 you'll be dead tired.
