Some Random Ideas
Do we really need windows? I mean really? What do they accomplish that cant be accomplished with heavy plastic and velcro? We rarely drive them in the rain. If your out on a cruise and get caught in bad weather, a small roll of plastic is a heck of a lot lighter than windows and related mechanisms.
So when I get a garage the windows are getting the axe.
Also.
I think Hood pins would be kind of neat. A bit un orthodox as our hoods tilt forward but I think they would be neat. Anybody else think so?

I removed the rear window and it probably won't go back. It's a pop-out but Bubba silicone'd it in place. (he kept losing it) My door windows are rarely rolled up.

Re: Some Random Ideas (Jughead)
I was thinking about the original vipers. They had no windows. Then I started thinking about what if we were driving a cruise like skyline, and weather turned bad.
So I came up with the snapped or velcroed in heavy plastic.
The humvees we use in the military have canvas doors and windows that are held up by a zipper.
So I said hmmmmmmm

I think no windows is crazy.
Heck I think non-power windows is
It's nice to be able to roll the windows up if it rains, gets cold, a big cross wind...
But I DO live in Minnesota, we have lots of weather changes...

I'll be moving to florida in a year or so.
And thats why I would have the velcro in plastic windows.

Re: Some Random Ideas (markdtn)
I like the look of my tinted windows on my black car, but like others I do not roll them up often.
I might do like Jughead and stow the back window indefinitely.
BTW, you gotta keep thinking "out of the box." :)

If you're moving to FL and don't want to drive in the rain, be prepared for summer storage, from mid June - Oct.
If you want to test the plastic, once it's in place for water tightness, use a garden hose, set on "stream". That's how hard it rains down here.

Re: Some Random Ideas (isosceles)
I would want windows (whether zip-up, roll-up, or something else) for the drag reduction, if nothing else.
