Show me your storage compartment
I need some ideas on how the jack and lug wrench should mount in the storage compartment. Anyone got any pictures of theirs and how they mount or and special set-ups anyone has done. Need to see some pictures so I can get an idea on what I need to do. Thanks :seeya

The lug wrench stores "within" the jack. Open the jack up a little bit...slip the handle ABOVE the base...then close the jack down tight...using your finger.
The jack sits on the bottom of the compartment...with a "double hook" spring gizmo over it. It will only properly fit one way....actually two ways as you could turn it 180 degrees.
When it's mounted correctly, the fiberboard liner should fit in easily and not hit the jack. Sorry...don't have a pic. Chuck

Re: Show me your storage compartment (Chuck Gongloff)
Thanks Chuck, I didn't even know there should be a fiberboard liner over the jack, guess someone trashed mine before I bought the car in 95. Guess I better get out the parts book and start looking. Thanks for the info. If anyone has any pictures of this fiberboard liner, I would like to see what they look like and how they fit in the compartment. Thanks :seeya

New Ecklers "2004 C3 specialtycatalog No.344" page 24 left side of page P/N A2988. This one is the origional pressboard. Some replacement parts are plastic.
