Default cutting coils; what end?

Greetings all. I've seen so much good stuff here regarding ride height, etc. Could you please tell me where you cut? Top or bottom?

The top end as the lowers seat into a pocket in the A arm is the end I cut. The present springs in my car are the F41 550 in/lb springs and set my fender lip height at 27" without modifications, you may want to investigate Vette Brakes of other vendors for springs, there not that much at around $80 and may work better for you.
