I guess the story on my vette is that it sat in a barn for a bunch of years :( until a guy bought it and started restoring it. Then he needed money (divorce) and had to sell the vette :sad: . He sold it to a small dealership in Indiana and they sold it to me. :hurray: While I was poking around the car, I found a bill of sale with the previous owner's name and phone number.

I'd love to talk to the guy about what he did to the vette - my main question is which cam did he put in (the dealer said it's a 375 hp racing cam :confused: ), but would really love to hear about the whole project and any history he has on the car, etc.

But I'm wondering..... because he was forced to sell the car, I'm thinking he might not appreciate getting a phone call with a bunch of questions about a car that he put a lot of work into........ should I call? not call? (I tried searching the net for an email address, but wasn't able to find one)

I would call him...it never hurts to try.
I've had folks call me who were successive owners of Corvettes that I had owned and I never had a problem with it. I was always glad to tell them whatever I could until they were like "Enough already!!" :D
